BEHR Brewing
Where Is It? On Seashore Road, across the street from Church’s Garden Center.
Why Should I Go? What started years ago in their backyard with a home brew kit and plastic bucket, local couple Steve and Cat Wilson turned a hobby into a real adventure. Cape May’s newest brewery opened in February 2022 and you’re sure to find a beer you can’t Behr to live without.
The crew at Behr Brewing want you to sit back and relax for a while. Their selection of beers are easy drinkers, so you can spend an afternoon on a barstool or outside at a picnic table sipping away. Lean into the vibe and be a little adventurous yourself with a flight to find your favorite. Between their shandy, pale ale, IPA and dry stout — there’s something on tap for every taste.
Behr Brewing nails the idea of keeping things local. Any additives for their brews are locally sourced, when possible, from places like Tony’s Produce and they carry local products with a Behr Brewing twist in their shop. Enjoy a selection of soaps and candles from Shore Soaps made with Behr beer.
Whether you’re looking for another stop on your brewery crawl, or want to spend the day sipping new flavors, Behr Brewing is the place to be. Start up a game of cornhole outside or lounge on the couch by their beautiful, hand-crafted fireplace, made from tree-trunk slices from Steve and Cat’s backyard — talk about keeping things local! And don’t forget to take Behr’s self-guided tour. There’s way more to see than a plastic bucket these days.
Insider Tip: Behr Brewing is easily accessible by car or bike — they’re located right along the Cape May County bike path.
