NJ Audubon’s Nature Center of Cape May

Where Is It? Near the US Coast Guard base.

Why Should I Go? The Nature Center offers adult, family and children’s programs from a serene, eco-friendly campus overlooking Cape May Harbor and at other natural areas in the region. The Center’s aquariums, exhibit areas, art gallery, meadow habitat trail and lookout tower are must-see stops.

Summertime brings children’s day camps, Monday through Friday throughout July and August, for ages 5-14. It’s designed with summer visitors in mind — campers may attend just one day or all summer.

The Nature Center’s day doesn’t end with the setting sun. Join them for evening family programs, including full moon kayak tours, evening campfires and moonlight beach strolls in search of bats, ghost crabs and other nocturnal creatures.

Fall is the time to enjoy the change of seasons and the panoramic view from the welcome center’s three-story observation tower. It’s also the perfect time to join migrating monarchs for a tour of the wildlife meadows and gardens.
