Willow Creek Winery

Where Is It? A short bike ride or a five-minute drive from Cape May.

Why Should I Go? Seasoned wine drinkers and newbies alike will delight in the beauty of this vineyard, farm and winery. The only winery on Cape Island, Willow Creek is 50 acres of unadulterated nature with roaming white geese and lush gardens designed by owner Barbara Wilde.

Then there’s that other reason to go — the wine! The 12,000-square-foot, post-and-beam winery is handcrafted by Mennonites from Lancaster, PA and hung with dramatic crystal chandeliers. Individuals, groups and private parties of up to 400 can experience fun, educational wine and sangria tastings, vineyard tours, wines by the glass, bottle or case as well as enjoy the Tasting Room’s grill menu. Looking for something more casual? Grab a glass and a burger and watch the game at the outside wine bar. From Pinot Noir to Malvasia to Blackberry Merlot and more than 35 different sangrias, there’s something for everyone. Throughout the year, the winery hosts various events and activities, from live music on Fire Pit Fridays to UnCorked Comedy to Sip & Shop and yoga in the vines.
